Free & paid tiers

Understand what's free and what's premium

What's included in the free tier?

Free accounts can create up to 2 services and build their knowledge base. Your first property or group service starts with a 3-day free trial: full guest access with up to 10 participants (property) or 25 (group), and 15 messages per day. Events don't include a trial. After the trial expires (or for any additional service or event), your service stays in free mode, you keep your knowledge base and analytics, but guests can't chat until you purchase a plan. Free limits per service: 10 knowledge items, 2 action links, 2 guest services, 5,000-character knowledge base.

What does a subscription unlock?

Subscribing unlocks guest access, the ability to create shareable links and QR codes so real guests can use Hostigram. You also get higher limits: Starter (100 knowledge items, 5 Action Links), Standard (500 items, 15 links), or Premium (999 items, unlimited links). Plus full analytics, host broadcast updates, and volume discounts for multiple hosting services.

Will I lose my content if my subscription expires?

No, not immediately. Your knowledge base, photos, and settings are preserved. Guest links are paused (not deleted) and reactivate when you re-subscribe. After 90 days of inactivity, your hosting service transitions to read-only archived status. At 180 days you receive a final deletion warning, and at 210 days service-specific data (knowledge base, chat history) is permanently purged. Your account and profile are preserved indefinitely.

How do I know when I'm near a limit?

Your hosting service dashboard shows progress bars for knowledge items and Action Links. The bars are color-coded: blue when you're comfortably under the limit, amber when you're at 80 to 99%, and red when you've reached 100%. Each limit includes an 'Upgrade for more' link that takes you directly to the pricing page.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, a 3-day free trial is available for your first property or group service. During the trial, your assistant accepts guests with no charge. The trial automatically starts when you create the service. Trial limits: Property trials allow 10 simultaneous participants and 15 daily messages. Group trials allow 25 simultaneous participants and 15 daily messages. Event services don't have a trial, they require a paid plan from creation. Each user can use one trial in their lifetime.

What happens when my trial ends?

After 3 days, your service stops accepting new guest sessions. You can still log in to your dashboard, edit your knowledge base, view analytics, and send broadcast updates. To restore guest access, purchase a paid plan from the Pricing page. Your existing knowledge base, settings, and conversation history are all preserved. Reminder emails are sent before your trial expires.

Can I get another trial after my first one ends?

Each Hostigram account is limited to one trial in its lifetime. If you've already used your trial on a property or group service, additional services start in free tier (guest access blocked) until you purchase a plan. Events always require a paid plan and never have a trial.

Why don't events get a free trial?

Events are time-bounded with hard launch dates, buying close to your event date is the typical pattern. Free trials don't fit this use case as well as they do for ongoing properties or groups. We offer a range of one-time event plans (Micro, Small, Medium, Large, Group 3-Day, Group Weekly, etc.) where the plan duration starts when you go live, not when you pay, so you can buy ahead and prepare without the clock ticking.
