Invite co-hosts to manage your service or testers to validate before launch
What's the difference between a co-host and a tester?
Both are people you invite to your service, but with different roles. Co-hosts help you manage the service: edit knowledge base, send broadcast updates, view analytics, read guest notes. They have ongoing access alongside you. Testers preview your service during setup mode: chat with Hostigram as if they were guests, find issues, give feedback. Their access is bounded, it's about validating the experience before it goes live. You can invite both types from PropertyKnowledge → Settings tab.
How do I invite a co-host?
From your service's Settings tab, find the Team Access section. Click 'Invite co-host' and enter their email. They'll receive an email with their capabilities listed and an accept link. They need a Hostigram account (or they'll be prompted to create one).
How do I invite a tester?
From the same Team Access section, click 'Invite tester' instead. Testers get a different email explaining their role: previewing Hostigram during setup, testing responses, and reporting issues. Importantly, testers can chat with Hostigram even when your service is in Setup Mode (which would otherwise block regular guests).
How many co-hosts and testers can I have?
Limits depend on your plan. Free tier: 1 co-host plus 2 testers. Paid tiers: up to 5 co-hosts plus 5 testers (varies by tier). The Team Access page shows your current usage versus your limit.
Can I revoke access or resend invitations?
Yes. From the Team Access section, hover over any team member to see actions: resend invitation (if pending), cancel pending invitation, or remove (if accepted). All changes take effect immediately.
Do my testers count toward my participant limit?
No. Testers chat under their email (not a guest identity), so they don't count against your service's max participants. They're separate from your guest population.
